CWU 65+ Life Cover Plan  
 
AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAINTAIN LIFE COVER FROM 65 TO 80
BENEFITS
The scheme is designed to provide a benefit that can be budgeted for from pension.
The premiums remain fixed and the benefit is adjusted as you get older.

Cover from age 65 – 69 is €17,500
Cover from age 70 – 74 is €12,500
Cover from age 75 – 79 is €7,500

PREMIUMS

The weekly premium for Members is €5.05 per week
The weekly premium for Spouses is €4.04 per week

Premiums are Fixed Throughout

ELIGIBILITY
Entry is guaranteed once you or your spouse are members of the CWU Group Life Schemes and elect to join the Over 65 Scheme within 3 months of reaching age 65. Members must also join the Retired Members Section (RMS) of the CWU
There is no application form, and you do not need to complete any medical questions.
Cover is automatically transferred from the CWU Group Life Scheme to the Over 65 Group Life Scheme.
CESSATION OF COVER

Cover will cease if one or more of the following arise:-
1 – Payment of premiums is discontinued
2 – You reach the age of 80
3 – You discontinue membership of the RMS of the CWU
